Helen graduated in 2006 at Brighton University, with a degree in fashion textiles and then moved to London where she began assisting designers Fred Butler and James Hatt, falling in love with prop and set design. She has since established herself as a highly creative and innovative set designer and art director, working within the fields of fashion, advertising and music, producing props, sets and costumes. Helen has recently teamed up with art director Marcus Sharp on the production side to work on music videos and adverts.

Could you please tell us more about your background and career?

I got into set design when I first came to London, assisting accessories designer, Fred Butler. At the time, Fred was doing a lot of set design and prop making for fashion magazines, and I loved it.
