Katja (aka Kat) Hentschel was born in a "boring old place in the former East Germany": she travelled a lot since then, moving herself to London, New York, Paris, Barcelona and San Francisco. How did you choose to start your own blog?

In early 2007 I lived in New York and was much inspired my websites like lastnightsparty.com or the cobrasnake.com. When I moved back to Berlin and saw no one was doing it there I launched Travelettes. At first it was all about parties, the street fashion was added a few months later.
